1. Introduction

Cyberix understands that custom-assembled computer systems are expected to provide strong performance, long-term reliability, and dependable support. To reflect our confidence in the quality of our workmanship, Cyberix offers a Limited Lifetime Warranty on eligible custom-assembled computer systems purchased directly from Cyberix.

These Terms and Conditions explain the warranty coverage, eligibility requirements, limitations, exclusions, claims procedures, and responsibilities of Cyberix and the original purchaser.

The Limited Lifetime Warranty applies only when it is:

  • Clearly included in writing with the original purchase; or
  • Purchased separately as a warranty upgrade.

The Limited Lifetime Warranty is not automatically included with every Cyberix order, promotion, giveaway, contest, discounted purchase, prize order, or special campaign.

2. Warranty Eligibility

The Limited Lifetime Warranty applies only to eligible custom-assembled computer systems purchased directly from Cyberix.

For regular purchases, warranty eligibility will be determined according to the applicable product listing, checkout information, invoice, order confirmation, warranty certificate, or written confirmation issued by Cyberix.

For promotional offers, discounted purchases, giveaways, contests, prize orders, or special campaigns, the Limited Lifetime Warranty must be purchased separately unless Cyberix expressly confirms in writing that the warranty is included.

When the Limited Lifetime Warranty has not been purchased separately or expressly included in writing, the system may be covered only by:

  • The applicable standard Cyberix warranty;
  • Any available manufacturer warranty; or
  • Mandatory consumer protection rights provided by applicable law.

Cyberix reserves the right to verify warranty eligibility using the original order information, invoice, payment records, product listing, checkout records, promotional terms, giveaway rules, warranty certificate, and proof of warranty purchase.

The warranty applies exclusively to the original purchaser unless transferability is required by applicable law or expressly approved by Cyberix in writing.

3. Warranty Period

For the purposes of this Limited Lifetime Warranty, the term “Lifetime” refers to the standard usable operational life expectancy of the covered computer system under normal consumer use and reasonable environmental conditions.

Unless a different period is expressly stated in writing, the Limited Lifetime Warranty remains valid for five (5) years from the original date of delivery or customer pickup.

The warranty period begins on the original delivery or pickup date shown on the customer’s invoice, delivery confirmation, or other valid proof of purchase.

Repair, replacement, or servicing under this warranty does not restart or extend the original warranty period unless Cyberix expressly confirms otherwise in writing.

4. Warranty Coverage

4.1 Covered Defects

During the applicable warranty period, Cyberix will provide warranty service for eligible systems or components that are determined by Cyberix to have failed because of:

  • Defects in materials;
  • Defects in assembly;
  • Defects in workmanship;
  • Incorrect installation performed by Cyberix; or
  • Other covered manufacturing or assembly-related faults arising under normal use.

Labor required to complete an approved warranty repair will be covered at no additional charge during the applicable warranty period.

Warranty coverage is subject to inspection, diagnosis, verification, availability of replacement components, and compliance with these Terms and Conditions.

4.2 Repair or Replacement Options

For an approved warranty claim, Cyberix may, at its discretion:

  • Repair the affected system or component;
  • Replace the affected component;
  • Replace the affected system;
  • Provide a functionally equivalent component or system;
  • Provide a refurbished replacement component or system;
  • Provide a warranty credit; or
  • Provide partial reimbursement in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

Cyberix may use new, refurbished, recertified, remanufactured, or functionally equivalent components when completing warranty repairs or replacements.

Where the original component is discontinued, unavailable, obsolete, or no longer reasonably obtainable, Cyberix may provide a comparable alternative offering substantially equivalent functionality or performance.

Replacement components may differ from the original component in brand, model, design, appearance, color, dimensions, specifications, or configuration, provided that the replacement offers reasonably comparable operational functionality.

5. Component Damage Coverage – 60% Coverage

5.1 Coverage Percentage

When an eligible internal component is damaged and Cyberix approves the damage as a covered warranty claim, Cyberix will cover sixty percent (60%) of the eligible component’s determined value.

The customer will be responsible for the remaining forty percent (40%) of the component’s determined value, in addition to any applicable costs that are not expressly covered by this warranty.

This coverage may be provided through:

  • A contribution toward the repair cost;
  • A contribution toward the replacement cost;
  • A warranty credit;
  • Direct payment to an approved repair or replacement provider; or
  • Reimbursement after Cyberix receives acceptable proof of the approved expense.

Cyberix will determine the appropriate form of coverage based on the circumstances of the claim.

5.2 Determining Component Value

For the purposes of the 60% component damage coverage, the eligible component value will be determined by Cyberix using the lowest reasonably applicable amount among:

  • The original component value shown on the customer’s invoice;
  • The original retail value of the component at the time of purchase;
  • The current market value of the same component;
  • The current market value of a reasonably equivalent component;
  • The reasonable repair cost; or
  • The reasonable replacement cost available through Cyberix or an approved supplier.

Taxes, expedited shipping charges, premium upgrades, custom modifications, price increases, third-party service charges, lost profits, and other indirect costs are not included in the component value unless Cyberix expressly approves them in writing.

Cyberix is not required to provide a cash payment equal to 60% of the component’s original retail price when a lower-cost repair or equivalent replacement is reasonably available.

5.3 Eligible Components

Subject to inspection and approval, the 60% component damage coverage may apply to internal hardware components originally supplied and installed by Cyberix, including:

  • Central processing units;
  • Graphics processing units;
  • Motherboards;
  • Memory modules;
  • Power supply units;
  • Internal storage drives;
  • Cooling systems;
  • Internal fans;
  • Internal cables;
  • Computer cases; and
  • Other internal components specifically identified as eligible by Cyberix.

Accessories, peripherals, consumable products, and components not originally supplied by Cyberix are excluded unless expressly covered in writing.

5.4 Conditions of Component Damage Coverage

To qualify for the 60% component damage coverage:

  1. The Limited Lifetime Warranty must be active and valid.
  2. The damaged component must have been originally supplied or installed by Cyberix.
  3. The customer must report the damage within the applicable warranty period.
  4. Cyberix must be given a reasonable opportunity to inspect or diagnose the component.
  5. The customer must provide all requested photos, videos, system logs, serial numbers, diagnostic information, and proof of purchase.
  6. The customer must not repair, replace, dispose of, sell, or materially alter the component before receiving authorization from Cyberix.
  7. The damage must not result from an exclusion described in these Terms and Conditions.
  8. The component must be returned to Cyberix when requested.

Cyberix may deny or reduce coverage when the customer cannot provide the damaged component for inspection or when the component has been repaired, modified, discarded, or replaced without prior authorization.

5.5 No Coverage for Intentionally Caused Damage

The 60% component damage coverage does not apply to damage that is intentionally caused, staged, fabricated, misrepresented, or caused through reckless conduct.

Claims involving false statements, altered evidence, substituted components, falsified invoices, or fraudulent documentation will be denied and may result in the cancellation of the warranty.

6. Warranty Exclusions

This Limited Lifetime Warranty does not cover the following unless Cyberix expressly confirms otherwise in writing.

6.1 Misuse, Abuse, Neglect, or Improper Handling

The warranty does not cover damage or failure caused by:

  • Misuse;
  • Abuse;
  • Neglect;
  • Improper handling;
  • Dropping or crushing the system;
  • Improper installation;
  • Failure to follow operating instructions;
  • Improper maintenance;
  • Blocked ventilation;
  • Excessive dust accumulation;
  • Exposure to smoke, grease, moisture, or contaminants;
  • Operating the system outside its intended purpose; or
  • Failure to take reasonable precautions to prevent further damage.

6.2 Unauthorized Repairs or Modifications

The warranty does not cover damage associated with:

  • Unauthorized repairs;

  • Removal or alteration of warranty labels;
  • Unsupported overclocking;
  • Improper voltage settings;
  • Modified firmware or BIOS settings;
  • Modified cooling systems; or
  • Modifications not approved by Cyberix.

Third-party repairs or modifications do not automatically void all warranty coverage. However, Cyberix may deny coverage when the claimed issue was caused or made worse by the third-party work or modification.

6.3 Accidental and External Causes

Unless expressly approved under the 60% component damage coverage, the warranty does not cover damage caused by external events or circumstances outside Cyberix’s reasonable control, including:

  • Accidents;
  • Falls;
  • Impact damage;
  • Liquid exposure;
  • Fire;
  • Flood;
  • Earthquake;
  • Lightning;
  • Electrical surges;
  • Unstable electrical supply;

  • Excessive humidity;
  • Shipping damage caused by inadequate packaging; or
  • Any external cause unrelated to a covered defect in Cyberix materials, assembly, or workmanship.

6.4 Cosmetic Damage

The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or cosmetic imperfections that do not materially affect system functionality.

Excluded cosmetic conditions include:

  • Scratches;
  • Dents;
  • Scuffs;
  • Marks;
  • Paint damage;
  • Discoloration;
  • Fading;
  • Surface wear;
  • Minor case misalignment; and
  • Other superficial imperfections.

Cyberix may determine that cosmetic damage does not justify repair or replacement when the system remains fully operational.

6.5 Software-Related Issues

The warranty does not cover software-related problems, including:

  • Operating system corruption;
  • Malware;
  • Viruses;
  • Ransomware;
  • Driver conflicts;
  • Third-party software incompatibility;

  • Password loss;
  • Data loss;
  • Data corruption;
  • Data recovery;
  • Game or application performance unrelated to a hardware defect; or
  • Software licensing issues.

Customers are responsible for maintaining valid software licenses and current backups of all personal files and data.

6.6 Consumables, Accessories, and Peripherals

Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, the warranty does not cover consumable items, accessories, or external peripherals, including:

  • Batteries;
  • Cables;
  • External adapters;
  • Headsets;
  • Keyboards;
  • Mice;
  • Monitors;
  • Speakers;
  • Controllers;
  • Webcams;
  • External storage devices;
  • Decorative accessories;
  • Lighting accessories; and
  • Other external peripherals.

A separate manufacturer warranty may apply to certain accessories or third-party products.

6.7 Non-Cyberix Products

The warranty does not cover any system, component, accessory, peripheral, or product that was not supplied or assembled directly by Cyberix.

Components installed by the customer or a third party are not covered unless Cyberix expressly confirms their coverage in writing.

6.8 Commercial, Industrial, or Abusive Use

The warranty does not cover systems used in operating conditions or workloads beyond normal consumer or professional desktop use unless such use was disclosed to and approved by Cyberix in writing.

Excluded or restricted uses may include:

  • Abusive or continuous cryptocurrency mining;
  • Unauthorized server operation;
  • Data center deployment;
  • Industrial deployment;
  • Extreme thermal environments;
  • Continuous maximum-load operation;
  • Improperly ventilated installations;
  • Commercial rendering farms;
  • Automated workloads substantially exceeding intended system usage; or
  • Any use outside the system’s intended operating conditions.

Commercial or specialized use may require separate written warranty terms.

6.9 Normal Performance Degradation

The warranty does not cover normal performance reduction, aging, or deterioration resulting from ordinary use, including:

  • Normal battery degradation;
  • Normal fan wear;
  • Thermal paste aging;
  • Storage-drive wear;
  • Reduced component performance caused by software changes;
  • Normal dust buildup;
  • Normal noise levels; or
  • Technology becoming outdated or incompatible with newer software.

7. Warranty Claims Procedure

7.1 Proof of Purchase

Customers must provide an original invoice, order confirmation, warranty certificate, or other valid proof of purchase when requesting warranty service.

Cyberix may request additional proof that the Limited Lifetime Warranty was purchased separately or included in writing, particularly for promotional, discounted, giveaway, contest, prize, or special-campaign orders.

7.2 Product Registration

Where applicable, customers may be asked to register their system through Cyberix’s official website within thirty (30) days of delivery or pickup.

Product registration helps Cyberix verify warranty eligibility, system configuration, serial numbers, and service history.

Failure to register does not eliminate any mandatory statutory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

7.3 Notification of a Claim

The customer must notify Cyberix promptly after discovering a suspected defect or component damage.

The customer must stop using the system when continued operation may cause additional damage, create a safety risk, or damage other components.

Cyberix is not responsible for additional damage caused by continuing to operate a system after a serious fault or warning becomes apparent.

7.4 Diagnostic Procedures

Before approving a warranty claim, Cyberix may require reasonable troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures.

The customer may be asked to provide:

  • Photographs;
  • Videos;
  • Error messages;
  • System logs;
  • Diagnostic test results;
  • Serial numbers;
  • Component information;
  • A description of the circumstances surrounding the issue;
  • Proof of maintenance;
  • Proof of purchase; or
  • Other information reasonably required to evaluate the claim.

Failure to cooperate with reasonable diagnostic procedures may delay the claim or result in denial of warranty service when Cyberix cannot verify the reported issue.

7.5 Authorization Required

The customer must obtain authorization from Cyberix before:

  • Shipping the system or component;
  • Hiring a third-party repair provider;
  • Purchasing a replacement component;
  • Disassembling the affected area;
  • Disposing of the affected component; or
  • Incurring expenses for which reimbursement will be requested.

Cyberix is not responsible for unauthorized repair, replacement, inspection, shipping, or service expenses.

7.6 Inspection and Claim Decision

Cyberix reserves the right to inspect the system or component before approving warranty coverage.

Following inspection, Cyberix may:

  • Approve the claim;
  • Request additional information;
  • Offer repair;
  • Offer replacement;
  • Offer 60% component damage coverage;
  • Offer warranty credit;
  • Determine that the issue is not covered; or
  • Return the product without repair when no covered defect is found.

The presence of damage does not automatically establish that the damage is covered under the warranty.

8. Shipping Responsibilities

Unless Cyberix expressly confirms otherwise in writing, the customer is responsible for:

  • Shipping costs to the Cyberix service location;
  • Transportation costs;
  • Import and export duties;
  • Customs fees;
  • Brokerage fees;
  • Proper packaging;
  • Shipment insurance; and
  • Any other costs associated with delivering the system to Cyberix.

Cyberix will provide return shipping for an approved warranty repair only when expressly stated in writing or required by applicable law.

Customers must package systems and components securely using suitable protective materials. Loose internal or external items must be removed or properly secured before shipment.

Cyberix is not responsible for loss or damage occurring during shipment when caused by:

  • Inadequate packaging;
  • Improper packaging;
  • Failure to follow Cyberix shipping instructions;
  • Failure to insure the shipment;
  • Carrier mishandling outside Cyberix’s control; or
  • Undeclared or prohibited shipment contents.

The customer should retain the shipping receipt and tracking information until the claim is completed.

9. Data Responsibility

Customers are solely responsible for backing up all personal data before submitting any system, component, or storage device for inspection, repair, replacement, or servicing.

Cyberix is not responsible for data that is:

  • Lost;
  • Deleted;
  • Damaged;
  • Disclosed;
  • Altered;
  • Inaccessible; or
  • Corrupted during inspection, diagnosis, repair, replacement, transportation, or servicing.

Warranty service may require Cyberix to:

  • Reformat a storage device;
  • Reset the operating system;
  • Replace a storage device;
  • Remove software;
  • Restore factory settings; or
  • Delete data.

Customers should remove confidential, private, financial, or sensitive information before sending a system for service whenever reasonably possible.

10. Replacement Components and Ownership

Any component removed and replaced by Cyberix may become the property of Cyberix unless prohibited by applicable law or otherwise agreed in writing.

Replacement components inherit the remaining warranty period of the original system. They do not receive a new five-year warranty period unless Cyberix expressly confirms otherwise.

Cyberix may require the customer to return the damaged or defective component before providing a replacement, reimbursement, or warranty credit.

Failure to return a requested component may result in:

  • Cancellation of the replacement;
  • Reversal of the warranty credit;
  • Recovery of the component’s value;
  • Denial of reimbursement; or
  • Suspension of the warranty claim.

11. No Guaranteed Upgrade

Warranty coverage is intended to restore the system to reasonably equivalent operational functionality. It does not guarantee an upgrade to the latest generation, highest specification, or most expensive available component.

When an exact replacement is unavailable, Cyberix will determine a reasonably comparable replacement based on factors such as:

  • Performance;
  • Functionality;
  • Compatibility;
  • Availability;
  • Reliability; and
  • Current market value.

A customer who requests a higher-value or upgraded component may be required to pay the difference between the approved warranty value and the upgrade cost.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Cyberix’s liability under this Limited Lifetime Warranty is limited to the remedies expressly described in these Terms and Conditions.

Depending on the approved claim, Cyberix’s obligation may be limited to:

  • Repair;
  • Replacement;
  • Warranty credit;
  • Reimbursement; or
  • Payment of 60% of an eligible damaged component’s determined value.

Cyberix will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive, exemplary, or special damages, including:

  • Loss of data;
  • Loss of business;
  • Loss of profit;
  • Loss of revenue;
  • Loss of productivity;
  • Downtime;
  • Loss of use;
  • Loss of opportunity;
  • Third-party claims;
  • Rental costs;
  • Substitute equipment costs;
  • Travel expenses; or
  • Costs of services obtained without Cyberix authorization.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

13. Maximum Warranty Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Cyberix’s total liability for any warranty claim will not exceed the original amount paid for the covered system or affected component.

For claims handled under the 60% component damage coverage, Cyberix’s maximum responsibility will be limited to 60% of the component value determined under Section 5.

The warranty does not provide compensation for changes in market price, scarcity, collector value, cryptocurrency value, lost production, or the cost of premium replacement components selected by the customer.

14. Transferability

The Limited Lifetime Warranty is issued exclusively to the original purchaser and is non-transferable unless:

  • Transferability is required by applicable law; or
  • Cyberix approves the transfer in writing.

If the system is sold, gifted, assigned, transferred, or otherwise provided to another person, warranty coverage may terminate unless Cyberix confirms continued coverage in writing.

Cyberix may require identification and proof of original purchase before providing warranty service.

15. Fraudulent or Misleading Claims

Cyberix may deny a claim or cancel warranty coverage when it reasonably determines that the customer has:

  • Submitted false or misleading information;
  • Falsified proof of purchase;
  • Altered diagnostic results;
  • Substituted a different component;
  • Misrepresented how damage occurred;
  • Deliberately damaged a component;
  • Submitted the same loss to multiple parties for reimbursement; or
  • Attempted to obtain a financial benefit through fraudulent means.

Cyberix reserves the right to request additional documentation and to refer suspected fraudulent activity to the appropriate payment provider, insurer, carrier, manufacturer, or legal authority.

16. Amendments and Policy Updates

Cyberix reserves the right to modify, update, renew, suspend, replace, or discontinue this warranty policy at its discretion.

Any updated warranty terms will apply prospectively and will not retroactively reduce valid coverage already granted to a customer, except where:

  • The customer agrees to the change;
  • The change benefits the customer;
  • The change is administrative and does not materially reduce coverage; or
  • The change is required by applicable law.

Updated terms may be published on Cyberix’s official website or communicated through official Cyberix channels.

The version of the warranty applicable to a purchase will normally be the version in effect on the original purchase date, unless a later version provides greater customer protection or is otherwise agreed upon.

17. Governing Law

These Limited Lifetime Warranty Terms and Conditions will be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

For customers located outside Ontario, mandatory consumer protection rights in the customer’s province, territory, country, state, or jurisdiction may apply to the extent required by law.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed only to the minimum extent necessary.

The remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

19. No Waiver

A delay or failure by Cyberix to enforce any provision of these Terms and Conditions does not constitute a waiver of that provision or Cyberix’s right to enforce it in the future.

Any exception or waiver must be confirmed by Cyberix in writing.

20. Entire Warranty Agreement

These Terms and Conditions, together with the applicable invoice, warranty certificate, order confirmation, and any written warranty-specific confirmation issued by Cyberix, constitute the complete warranty agreement between Cyberix and the customer.

Statements made in advertisements, social-media posts, chats, telephone conversations, or informal communications do not modify this warranty unless Cyberix expressly confirms the modification in writing.

21. Legal Rights

This Limited Lifetime Warranty provides specific benefits offered by Cyberix. It does not replace, restrict, exclude, or reduce mandatory rights available to customers under applicable consumer protection laws.

Where any provision of this warranty conflicts with a mandatory legal requirement, the applicable legal requirement will prevail only to the extent necessary.

22. Contacting Cyberix

Customers requesting warranty service should contact Cyberix through an official Cyberix customer-support channel and provide:

  • Their full name;
  • Order number;
  • Proof of purchase;
  • Warranty certificate, where applicable;
  • System or component serial number;
  • A detailed description of the issue; and
  • Requested photographs, videos, or diagnostic information.

A warranty claim is not considered approved until Cyberix provides written authorization or confirmation.
