The GIGABYTE X870E AORUS PRO is a high-performance ATX motherboard designed for the latest AMD Socket AM5 processors, built with the advanced AMD X870E chipset. It supports cutting-edge DDR5 memory technology and features robust power delivery with a 16+2+2 phase design, where each Vcore phase delivers 80A, ensuring stable performance even under heavy workloads.

Engineered for enthusiasts and gamers, this board offers extensive support for the latest expansion standards, including a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot for next-gen GPUs and two additional PCIe x16 (at x4) slots. It’s also equipped to handle ultra-fast storage with four M.2 slots supporting both PCIe 5.0 and 4.0 NVMe SSDs, along with RAID support for both NVMe and SATA drives. Additionally, it features four SATA3 ports for legacy storage needs.

For memory, the board includes four DIMM (UDIMM) slots with support for dual-channel architecture, XMP, and AMD EXPO profiles, allowing optimized performance tuning. The memory slots are compatible with speeds up to 8200MHz (PC5-65600), a top-tier figure for DDR5 modules.

Connectivity is another strong suit, boasting dual USB4 40Gbps Type-C ports on the rear, along with a variety of USB 3.x and USB 2.0 portsnine Type-A and two Type-C ports in total. Wired networking is powered by a Realtek 2.5Gbps LAN chip, while wireless connectivity is handled by a Qualcomm QCNCM865 chip, supporting both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

For multimedia and expandability, the board features 7.1-channel audio driven by a Realtek ALC1220 audio codec, complete with S/PDIF support. It also offers modern graphical output options including HDMI and USB-C.

The RGB FUSION system provides customizable lighting, including LEDs on the I/O shield, and multiple ARGB/RGB headers for system-wide lighting control. Other enthusiast-focused features include a debug LED, onboard power/reset buttons, BIOS flashback support, and a comprehensive set of I/O and fan headers—including multiple USB headers, system fan headers, and ARGB connectors.

Built with SPS (DrMOS) power stages, efficient VRM heatsinks, and integrated M.2 heatsinks, this board is ready for high thermal loads and sustained performance, making it an ideal backbone for powerful AMD-based gaming or workstation builds.
